When I arrived at the exquisite Saint James Church in Falls Church, Virginia my jaw dropped. It was my second time shooting there yet its appearance gets me every single time. The tall and detailed architecture is so perfected and the quiet residential streets of small brick houses that surround it give it such a Northern Virginia vibe. A few moments later, I saw Nadine, the bride, standing tall and giddy in a gold long wedding dress. As you can imagine, my eyes were bouncing with hearts like you see in the cartoons. Josh, was nearby on the church lawn, grinning and laughing like it was the best day of his life. They exchanged vows at their wedding a few days beforehand, but today was the big day of their traditional Catholic ceremony with all of their immediate family and I had the honor of being the photographer!
Inside the church, their close family members waited patiently for Nadine to walk down the aisle once again and I found myself distracted with all of the beautiful details. After the ceremony we took family portraits outside, then I had the chance to steal the newlyweds away for some more photos while their family headed to their luncheon. They were up for ANYTHING and couldn’t stop cheesing. I love these two and hope to continue to be a part of their lives, documenting their love for one another.
Take a peek at some of my favorites for the day!
