As a mother of two, I have been there! I approach newborn photography with a mindset of what would have been most important and helpful with my own children. For myself, it wasn't props or something super staged but it was a simple approach capturing the "newness" of our new family member. I already knew our nursery would NEVER look like this again past the first month. Let's face it. My second kid didn't even have a nursery they had a guest bedroom turned crib room! Reality. I wanted to remember their tiny little ears and fingers but also wanted to remember the way they fit into the nook of my arm or by their big siblings side. You don't need a beautiful home to do lifestyle newborn photography. We will find a tiny corner of decent lighting... shove everything to the side and make it work!
