When the bride is a killer artists and an owner of an impressive branding and design business… you know the details of her wedding are going to be out of this world. Cassie wanted to go for a natural bohemian aesthetic for her wedding with tones from oatmeal to dusty rose and lots of greenery. She captured this effortlessly from the hand drawn illustrations, bouquets, to centerpieces and the backdrop of the stunning Boathouse at Rocketts Landing in Richmond VA.

The day began at the Omni Richmond with their family and best friends. Cassie celebrated with toasts of champagne, girl talk and matching pajamas. I kept commenting on how impressed I was with how time efficient they were and how relaxed the girl squad was! If you’ve been a bride, you know those hours before go so fast! When I wandered around the room, I was in awe with her details for the day. Her dress from BHLDN has such intricate design and laid like a princess, Ciao Bella Salon slayed her makeup and hair with an effortless glow and don’t even get me started on that BOUQUET from Nicola Flora. The invitation suite was done by Cassie and was EASILY the most unique set I’ve ever seen out of all weddings.

After the girls finished getting ready they had their first look in the atrium at the Omni and then we rushed over to the Boathouse for their ceremony! Fans were laid out for their guests because of the hot August heat and bystanders on the road watched from above as they said I do on the waterfront patio. After sunset portraits, they entered the reception that was decorated with florals, antique keys as name cards for guests, exposed brick and warm golden hour sunlight that spilled in through the windows. Cassie KILLED the illustrations at the tables again. Seriously amazing. To top off the night, they had live music, Bachelor Boys Band and the whole room danced their butt off and belted old favorites!
