Melanie contacted me for a family session because her son was enlisting into the Navy and was SO excited about finally getting family photos booked with her six children.  When our session date was getting near, the forecast was not pretty.  If you live in Virginia you know that it is totally normal for one day the weather to be warm and sunny, then rainy, then snow, then ice, then back to being sunny.  We agreed to be patient and wait it out but our backup plan was a gazebo with coverage. I really wanted a location where the kids could wander and not be limited on space.  It rained the entire way out to Lake Anna but as I pulled up to the parking lot it stopped! The sun came out and glistened over the water.  I couldn’t have asked for better light in January!!

This family was so much fun.  Each child had such a different personality and Melanie and Eric are such wonderful parents!  I hope to work with them many times in the future.  Take a peek at their sun-kissed afternoon at Lake Anna.
