A few months back I was getting dinner with my good friends and past clients Matt and Sarah, and she mentioned to me her friend reached out a few months ago about hiring me as a wedding photographer but never heard anything.  WHAT!  Man, was I so sad and upset I didn’t receive her inquiry.  Of course, I assumed that she had already moved on and hired someone else but decided to shoot her a message just in case.  When she responded and told me she was WAITING and hoping I would write back I did a major happy dance.  We immediately scheduled a Mexican dinner date for the three of us to get to know each other.  We maybe spent about 10 minutes talking about actual wedding photography and the rest of the night all about LIFE.

In 2014, on July 3 “the stars lined up.”  While Jud and Samantha had mutual friends, they had never actually met.  A friend of theirs was bartending in their hometown and a conversation started over a AC/DC shirt Jud was wearing.  After their first conversation Samantha KNEW she had to come back the next week in hopes she would run into him again.  A week later, her wishes came true and she ran into Jud again!  Before she knew it the bar was closing and even after several hints being dropped to get her number, he didn’t catch on.  The next day he got a text from him! He apparently got her number from  a friend and they began to talk every single day.  Less than a month later, on July 29th they started dating.

A hunting season later, 4 wheeler rides, after learning how to shoot, many bonfires, date nights and gravel roads, Jud proposed.  After a family get together, Jud took her to Lake Brittle out on the docks.  Moments later, Jud got down on one knee, pulled a ring box out of his pocket and asked her to marry him.  You can see the actual spot he proposed at their engagement session here.

Judson and Samantha, I feel like you guys have become friends I have known for years and I can’t thank you enough for waiting on me to answer.  Love you guys!
